The VTX Cruiser Concept 1 was a one-off styling study by Honda Research Americas in Torrance, California, shown publicly at Rockefeller Center in New York. Built around a VTX1800 engine with billet cases, it swapped the shaft for chain drive and used a hubless split rear wheel on a 240-section tyre, billet-machined wheels and front end, and a carbon-fibre tank cover with a digital speedometer. Honda presented it as a test of public reaction rather than a production bike.
